Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices of mozzarella cheese

1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

4 hamburger buns (toasted)

1 cup pepperoni slices

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Cook the Patties: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes.

Add Cheese and Marinara: Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty. Spoon about ¼ cup of marinara sauce over the cheese and top with some pepperoni slices. Cover and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Assemble the Burgers: Spread a little extra marinara sauce on the toasted hamburger buns. Place each cheesy, saucy patty on the bottom half of a bun. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and add fresh basil leaves.

Serve: Place the top half of the bun on the burger and serve immediately with a side of crispy fries or a salad.
