1 tablespoon vinegar (apple cider or white)

1 teaspoon salt

Prepare the Pot: Place your eggs in a single layer in a medium-sized pot. Add enough water to cover the eggs by about an inch. Stir in the vinegar and salt to help with peeling later.

    Bring to a Boil: Heat the pot over medium-high heat until the water comes to a rolling boil. Once it reaches a boil, immediately cover the pot with a lid and remove it from the heat.

      Set a Timer: Let the eggs sit covered for 9-12 minutes, depending on how cooked you like your yolks. For a slightly creamier yolk, aim for 9 minutes; for a firmer yolk, go for 12 minutes.

        Prepare Ice Bath: While the eggs are sitting, fill a large bowl with ice and cold water. This will cool the eggs quickly and stop the cooking process.

          Cool the Eggs: Once the timer goes off, carefully transfer the eggs to the ice bath using a slotted spoon or tongs. Let them sit in the ice water for at least 5-10 minutes.
