Taco Ranch Bites

Taco Ranch Bites are the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer, combining the classic flavors of tacos with creamy ranch goodness. Ingredients
  

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, softened

½ cup ranch dressing

1 cup crushed tortilla chips

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

½ cup green onions, chopped

1 cup lettuce, shredded

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

12 mini flour tortillas or taco cups

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

      Add Seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning along with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well, then follow with 2/3 cup of water. Simmer until the water reduces slightly, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

        Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well blended.

          Assemble the Bites: Spread a little of the cheese mixture at the bottom of each mini flour tortilla or taco cup. Add a spoonful of the taco meat on top, and then add more cheese mixture. Sprinkle the crushed tortilla chips on top to add crunch.

            Top with Toppings: Place halved cherry tomatoes, chopped green onions, and shredded lettuce on each bite for freshness.

              Bake: Place the assembled taco bites in a single layer on a baking sheet and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

                Serve & Enjoy: Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Taco Ranch Bites warm with additional ranch dressing or your favorite salsa on the side!
