Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the flour, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss the chicken pieces in the flour mixture until well coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Fry the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces in batches (do not overcrowd the pan) and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove chicken and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant (be careful not to burn). Then, add the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the mixture starts to bubble gently.

Combine: Add the fried chicken back into the skillet with the sauce. Toss well to coat all chicken pieces evenly in the sticky honey garlic sauce. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot as an appetizer, snack, or main dish alongside steamed rice or vegetables.
