Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Optional: chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the wings cook evenly and become crispy.

Make the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, hot sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt.

Coat the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss the wings with the vegetable oil and then add about half of the marinade, reserving the other half for later. Ensure the wings are evenly coated.

Arrange the Wings: Place the chicken wings in a single layer on the wire rack over the prepared baking sheet. This helps them crisp up during roasting.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.

Glaze the Wings: After baking, remove the wings from the oven and brush them with the reserved marinade. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, allowing the glaze to caramelize slightly.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Optionally, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Enjoy: Serve the Spicy Maple Glazed Chicken Wings with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor!
