Ingredients
  

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red chili paste)

2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey

1 tablespoon sesame oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon rice wine (mirin)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 small onion, thinly sliced

2 green onions, chopped

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Lettuce leaves (for wrapping, optional)

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, gochujang, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice wine, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.

    Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight for stronger flavor).

      Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches to avoid overcrowding).

        Cook the beef for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly caramelized. Add the sliced onion halfway through cooking to soften.

          Remove the beef and onions from the pan and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

            Serve hot, accompanied by lettuce leaves for wrapping and steamed rice on the side for a complete meal.
