Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (6 oz) tomato paste

1 cup chicken broth

2-3 tbsp chipotle adobo sauce (adjust for spice preference)

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

12 small slider buns

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Sliced jalapeños (optional, for extra heat)

Slices of avocado (optional, for creaminess)

Instructions

Sauté Aromatics: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Brown the Turkey: Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it’s browned and cooked through, approximately 7-10 minutes.

Create the Sauce: Once the turkey is cooked, stir in the tomato paste, chicken broth, chipotle adobo sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine all ingredients.

Simmer: Allow the mixture to simmer on low for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens to your desired consistency.

Prepare the Sliders: While the turkey mixture is simmering, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottoms on a baking sheet.

Assemble Sliders: Spoon a generous amount of the spicy turkey mixture onto each bottom half of the slider buns. If desired, top with sliced jalapeños for extra heat and slices of avocado for creaminess.

Broil (Optional): If you like a crispy slider, place the tops of the buns on the turkey mixture and pop them under a broiler for 2-3 minutes, just until golden.

Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh chopped cilantro, and serve immediately with the tops of the slider buns.
