Ingredients

3 lbs country-style pork ribs

1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup honey

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Ribs: Rinse the country-style pork ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Trim excess fat for a leaner dish.

Make a Dry Rub: In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

Season the Ribs: Rub the dry mixture generously all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them sit for about 15-30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Make the BBQ Sauce Mixture: In a separate bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.

Slow Cooking Setup: Place the seasoned ribs in a slow cooker. Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the ribs, ensuring they are completely covered. If necessary, add a bit of water to ensure there’s enough liquid in the bottom of the slow cooker.

Slow Cook: Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat. Cook for 6-8 hours or until the ribs are tender and easily pull apart with a fork.

Finishing Touch: Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker. If desired, you can preheat the oven broiler. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil, brush with additional BBQ sauce, and broil for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the sauce, giving them a nice glaze.

Serve and Garnish: Allow the ribs to rest for a few minutes before slicing them apart. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve with your favorite sides, such as coleslaw, cornbread, or baked beans.
