Ingredients

2 cups white chocolate chips

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon matcha powder (high-quality)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Optional: ¼ cup chopped nuts or dried fruit for texture

Instructions

Prepare the Baking Dish: Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

Melt the White Chocolate: In a medium saucepan, combine the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter over low heat. Stir continuously until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to let it scorch.

Add Matcha & Flavorings: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Sift in the matcha powder to remove any lumps, then add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Stir until everything is well combined, and the matcha is fully incorporated, giving the fudge a beautiful green hue.

Incorporate Add-ins (Optional): If you’re adding chopped nuts or dried fruit, fold them into the mixture now for a delightful texture contrast.

Pour and Set: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly. Tap the dish gently on the counter to release any air bubbles.

Chill the Fudge: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm and set completely.

Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the baking dish using the parchment overhang. Place it on a cutting board and cut into squares. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Storage: Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. It can also be frozen for longer storage, just make sure to separate layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
