Ingredients

1 lb sausage (breakfast or Italian, your choice)

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Cook the Sausage: In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until it's browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, drained Rotel, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended and creamy.

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. You should have 8 triangles per package.

Fill the Crescents: Place a generous tablespoon of the sausage filling at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the triangles starting from the wide end, tucking in the sides as you roll to secure the filling inside.

Bake: Arrange the rolled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Optionally, sprinkle with fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish. Serve warm and enjoy!

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: 8 rolls
