Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup crushed pretzels (plus extra for topping)

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)

1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Sea salt flakes (for sprinkling on top)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Pretzels and Chocolate: Gently fold in the crushed pretzels and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Assemble the Blondies: Pour half of the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the batter, then use a knife or spatula to swirl it gently. Pour the remaining batter on top and spread it out. Finally, drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce on top and swirl it again for a marbled effect. Sprinkle additional crushed pretzels and sea salt flakes over the top.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out slightly sticky but not wet.

Cool and Serve: Let the blondies cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Allow them to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Enjoy: Serve these sweet and salty treats warm or at room temperature, and watch them disappear!
