2 cups all-purpose flour

½ cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

1 cup granulated sugar

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces

⅓ cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon sea salt (more for sprinkling)

For the topping:

½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Flaky sea salt for garnish

Prepare the Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to combine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.

    Bake the Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes, or until it turns lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly while you prepare the caramel.
