1 large orange, peeled and segmented

1 medium grapefruit, peeled and segmented

1 ripe banana, sliced

1/2 cup of frozen strawberries

1/2 cup of frozen blueberries

1/2 cup of coconut water

1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk

1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional)

1 tablespoon of chia seeds

A handful of fresh spinach (optional, for added nutrients)

Ice cubes (optional, for a chilled smoothie)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ingredients: Gather all the segmented citrus fruits and slice the banana. If using fresh spinach, wash it thoroughly and shake off excess water.

    Blend the Citrus Base: In a blender, add the orange and grapefruit segments along with half of the coconut water and almond milk. Blend until smooth and fully integrated.

      Create the First Layer: Pour the blended orange and grapefruit mix into a tall glass, filling it about one-third full. You may want to chill it in the fridge while preparing other layers.

        Blend the Banana Layer: In the blender, add the sliced banana, a splash of the remaining coconut water, and almond milk. Blend until creamy and smooth. Pour this layer gently on top of the citrus layer in the glass, using the back of a spoon to prevent them from mixing too much.

          Make the Strawberry Layer: Rinse the blender, then add the frozen strawberries, a splash of almond milk, and honey (if desired). Blend until smooth and thick. Pour this layer carefully over the banana layer.

            Final Layer – Blueberry Spinach Delight: Rinse the blender one last time, then combine the frozen blueberries, spinach (if using), the remaining coconut water, and almond milk. Blend to a smooth consistency. Pour this last layer over the top of the glass.

              Add Crunch: Sprinkle chia seeds on the top of your smoothie for added texture and nutrition. You can also add a few ice cubes if you prefer it colder.
