Ingredients

1 lb beef steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, sliced

1 bell pepper (green or red), sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 ½ cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)

1 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups shredded provolone cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Steak: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the steak is browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until they start to soften. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the onions and peppers. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and sprinkle in the Italian seasoning. Stir to combine, allowing everything to simmer for about 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Mix with Pasta: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the steak and vegetable mixture. Stir until everything is well incorporated.

Layer the Casserole: Pour half of the steak and pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish. Layer 1 cup of provolone cheese over the mixture. Spread the remaining pasta and steak mixture on top, and finish with the remaining cup of provolone cheese and the mozzarella cheese.

Bake: Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.
