Ingredients
  

4 cups mixed salad greens (arugula, spinach, and mixed baby greens)

2 ripe pears, cored and thinly sliced

4 oz goat cheese, crumbled

1 cup pecans

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup balsamic vinaigrette (store-bought or homemade)

Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Optional: Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

Prepare the Candied Pecans:

    - In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

      - Add the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and bubbling.

        - Add the pecans to the mixture and stir to coat well.

          - Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until the pecans are toasted and coated.

            - Remove the saucepan from heat and spread the candied pecans on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow to cool.

              Assemble the Salad:

                - In a large salad bowl, add the mixed salad greens.

                  - Layer the thinly sliced pears on top of the greens.

                    - Crumble the goat cheese over the pears and greens.

                      - Scatter the cooled candied pecans across the salad.

                        Dress the Salad:

                          - Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the salad.

                            - Sprinkle freshly cracked black pepper to taste. If desired, garnish with fresh thyme leaves for added flavor and presentation.

                              Serve:
