Ingredients

1 lb elbow macaroni

4 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

2 cups milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

1/2 tsp paprika (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded Cheddar, Monterey Jack, cream cheese, sour cream, milk, heavy cream, and melted butter. Use a whisk to mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

Combine Pasta and Cheese: Stir the cooked macaroni into the cheese mixture until the pasta is fully coated. Add salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using. Mix well.

Transfer to Crockpot: Pour the mac and cheese mixture into a greased crockpot, spreading it evenly.

Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, or until the cheese is bubbly and the macaroni is thoroughly cooked. Stir occasionally, if possible, to ensure even cooking.

Serve: Once it's done, sprinkle with paprika for a touch of color and serve warm. Enjoy your rich and creamy mac and cheese!
