Ingredients

4 tilapia fillets

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 large egg, beaten

¼ cup all-purpose flour

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Make the Coating: In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

Prepare the Fillets: Season the tilapia fillets with salt and pepper on both sides. Dredge each fillet in flour, shaking off any excess, then dip into the beaten egg, allowing any excess egg to drip off. Finally, press both sides of the fillet into the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.

Bake the Fish: Place the coated fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Make the Lemon Butter: While the fish is baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, add the lemon juice and lemon zest. Stir to combine and let it simmer for a minute or two, allowing the flavors to meld.

Serve: Once the tilapia is done, remove it from the oven and drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the top of each fillet. Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch.

Enjoy Your Meal: Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes, like steamed vegetables or a light salad.
