Ingredients

4 (6 oz) salmon fillets

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 lemon, sliced into rounds

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Season the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the Cajun marinade generously over each fillet, ensuring even coverage. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes for the flavors to infuse.

Arrange Lemon Slices: Lay the lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets. This will add a lovely citrusy flavor as they roast.

Roast the Salmon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides, such as rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad.
