Ingredients
  

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

2 tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette

1/2 cup ground flaxseed

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1/4 cup dried cranberries or cherries

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, ground flaxseed, and a pinch of sea salt.

    In a separate bowl, mix together the almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and balsamic vinaigrette until well combined.

      Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly until everything is evenly coated.

        Then, fold in the mini chocolate chips, chopped walnuts or pecans, and dried cranberries or cherries. Mix until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

          Using your hands, scoop a portion of the mixture and roll it into bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter).

            Place the energy bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.

              Once set, transfer the energy bites into an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator. They can be enjoyed as a quick snack any time!
