Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded

1/2 cup pesto sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, pesto sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Roll Out Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean, flat surface. Separate the dough along the perforations to create triangles.

Add Filling: Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the chicken pesto mixture into the wide end of each triangle.

Roll Up: Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle towards the tip to form a crescent shape. Pinch the ends to seal the filling inside.

Prepare for Baking: Place the crescent melts on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Enjoy: Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, and enjoy the delicious combination of flavors!
