Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 lb spicy Italian sausage

1 can (15 oz) refried beans

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (undrained)

1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1/2 cup sliced black olives

1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Tortilla chips (for serving)

Instructions

Cook The Meats: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, crumble and cook the ground beef and Italian sausage together until fully browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.

Mix Ingredients: Lower the heat to medium, then stir in the refried beans, diced tomatoes with chiles (including liquid), and taco seasoning. Mix well and cook for an additional 3 minutes until heated through.

Add Creamy Components: Add the softened cream cheese and sour cream to the skillet. Stir until fully combined and the mixture becomes creamy and smooth, about 5-7 minutes.

Layer the Cheeses: Gradually fold in half of the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses until melted and combined. Remove from heat.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the mixture into a large oven-safe baking dish, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cheeses on top, along with the sliced black olives.

Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the dip in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden on top.

Garnish: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.

Serve: Serve hot with tortilla chips for dipping. Enjoy your hearty, cheesy delight with friends and family!
