Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and minced garlic until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour for optimal flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cook the Salmon: Remove the marinated salmon from the refrigerator. In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down, and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy.

Glaze and Bake: Pour the remaining marinade over the salmon and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.

Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Enjoy: This sweet and smoky maple glazed salmon pairs beautifully with steamed vegetables or fluffy rice for a complete meal!
