Ingredients

2 cups milk (any type: dairy, almond, oat, or coconut)

1 chai tea bag (or 1 tablespoon of loose leaf chai tea)

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

A pinch of black pepper (optional, for a little kick)

Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Additional ground cinnamon for garnish

Instructions

Steep the Tea: In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the chai tea bag. Allow it to steep for about 5 minutes, then remove the tea bag and set aside.

Combine Ingredients: In the same saucepan, add the milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cardamom, and black pepper (if using) to the chai tea.

Heat the Mixture: Place the saucepan back on low heat, stirring gently. Warm the mixture until it’s steaming but not boiling. This should take about 5 minutes.

Froth the Latte (Optional): If you want a frothy latte, you can use a milk frother or a whisk to froth the mixture slightly. Alternatively, you can pour the latte into a blender and blend gently for about 10 seconds to create froth.

Serve: Pour the chai latte into two mugs. If desired, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon for extra flair.

Enjoy: Sip your cozy Maple Chai Latte, and relish in the comforting flavors!
