Mac 'N Cheese Waffle Burger Recipe

1 cup macaroni pasta

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons butter

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 large egg

1 pound ground beef

4 slices of your favorite cheese (like American or Swiss)

2 maple-flavored waffles (store-bought or homemade)

Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for topping

Additional maple syrup for drizzling (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook the Macaroni: Boil a pot of salted water and cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

    Make the Cheese Sauce: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the milk and bring to a simmer. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, and stir until smooth. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and set aside.

      Prepare the Mac & Cheese Patties: In a bowl, mix the mac and cheese with the panko breadcrumbs and the egg until well combined. Form into patties, about the size of your waffle.
