12 oz (340g) string mozzarella cheese sticks

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon milk

1½ cups seasoned breadcrumbs

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

¼ teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Cooking oil, for frying

Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

Prep the Cheese Sticks: Cut each mozzarella stick in half, yielding a total of 24 pieces. Place them in the freezer for at least 1 hour; this will help them hold their shape during frying.

    Set Up the Breading Station: In three separate bowls, set out the flour, beaten eggs mixed with milk, and seasoned breadcrumbs. In the bowl with breadcrumbs, add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
