Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed

Lemon wedges, for serving

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Marinate the salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour about half of the honey mustard glaze over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the asparagus.

Prepare the asparagus: On a large baking sheet, spread the trimmed asparagus in a single layer. Drizzle with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat.

Arrange for baking: Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the baking sheet with the asparagus. Drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon fillets.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender but still crisp.

Broil for extra flavor (optional): For a caramelized finish, switch the oven to broil and broil the salmon and asparagus for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

Serve: Remove from the oven and transfer the salmon and asparagus to plates. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the salmon.
