Ingredients

10 chicken drumsticks

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

Prepare Marinade: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Marinate Drumsticks: Place the chicken drumsticks in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the honey mustard marinade over the drumsticks, making sure they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Arrange for Baking: Once marinated, remove the drumsticks from the fridge. Arrange them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, reserving any leftover marinade for later use.

Bake: Bake the chicken drumsticks in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, flipping them halfway through. In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the drumsticks with the reserved marinade to create a glossy glaze.

Check Doneness: The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the skin is crispy and caramelized. You can also place them under the broiler for an additional 2-3 minutes for extra crispy skin, but watch them closely to prevent burning.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the drumsticks from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve them hot with your choice of sides like mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or a fresh green salad.
