Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 bunch of fresh asparagus (about 1 pound)

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic. Set aside.

Prepare the asparagus: Rinse the asparagus under cold water, trim the tough ends, and pat dry. In a baking dish, toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

Add the salmon: Place the salmon fillets on top of the asparagus in the baking dish, skin side down.

Glaze the salmon: Brush the honey glaze generously over the salmon fillets.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F) and the asparagus is tender.

Broil for a finish (optional): For a caramelized top, turn on the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, watching closely to prevent burning.

Serve: Remove from the oven, squeeze fresh lemon juice over both the salmon and asparagus, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
