Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons minced garlic (about 6 cloves)

1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon water

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Add the shrimp to the marinade, making sure they are well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15-20 minutes to soak in all the flavors.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry. This will thicken your sauce. Set aside.

Cook the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp along with the marinade. Sauté the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink. Do not overcrowd the pan; you may need to cook in batches.

Thicken the Sauce: Once the shrimp are cooked, add the cornstarch slurry to the skillet and stir quickly to combine. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp nicely.

Season and Garnish: Taste the sauce and season with salt and pepper as needed. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Serve: Serve the Honey Garlic Shrimp immediately over rice or with steamed vegetables for a delicious meal. Enjoy!
