Ingredients

1 pound raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons honey

4 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon sesame oil (or vegetable oil)

2 green onions, chopped

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Add the shrimp, tossing to coat. Allow marinating for at least 20 minutes in the refrigerator.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Make sure the oil is hot before adding the shrimp for a nice sear.

Cook the Shrimp: Remove the shrimp from the marinade (reserve the marinade for later) and add them to the hot skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Glaze the Shrimp: Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet once the shrimp are nearly done. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the shrimp beautifully.

Final Touch: Stir in the chopped green onions and cook for an additional minute. Remove from heat.

Serve: Plate the honey garlic glazed shrimp and drizzle any remaining glaze from the pan over the top. Garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro if desired.
