Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Cooked jasmine rice or steamed broccoli (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, lemon juice, and sesame oil until thoroughly combined.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are all well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes for best flavor.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully remove the shrimp from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later.

Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the pan in a single layer and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque.

Thicken the Sauce: Pour the reserved marinade into the pan with the shrimp. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly while tossing the shrimp to coat them evenly.

Garnish and Serve: Once the glaze has thickened, remove from heat. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately over jasmine rice or with steamed broccoli to soak up the delicious sauce.
