Ingredients

1 cup almond flour

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

1/4 cup maple syrup or honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (70% cacao or more)

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional, such as walnuts or pecans)

1/4 cup almond milk (or any non-dairy milk)

Flaky sea salt for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray or oil.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, rolled oats, coconut sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well until fully combined.

In another bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond milk until smooth.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until you get a thick dough. Fold in the dark chocolate chips and nuts if using.

Transfer the mixture into the prepared pie dish, pressing it down evenly to form a crust. You can create a slight edge by pushing the dough up the sides of the pie dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (it may be a little gooey from the chocolate).

Allow the pie to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Optionally, sprinkle flaky sea salt on top for an extra flavor boost.

Serve warm or allow to cool completely, and enjoy it as a healthier dessert!
