12 mozzarella string cheese sticks

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon onion powder

Prep the Cheese: Cut each mozzarella string cheese stick in half to create 24 shorter sticks. Freeze them for at least 30 minutes — this will help them hold their shape during frying.

    Set Up the Breading Station: In three separate shallow dishes, set out the flour (seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper), beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika.

      Coat the Mozzarella Sticks: Take each frozen cheese stick and first dip it into the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, coat it in the egg wash, ensuring it's fully submerged, then roll it in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat this process for all cheese sticks.

        Double Dip (Optional): For extra crunch, you can dip the coated cheese sticks back into the egg wash and then back into the breadcrumbs for a second layer.
