Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are well-coated.

Roast the Brussels Sprouts: Spread the Brussels sprouts evenly on a large baking sheet, cut side down. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside, stirring halfway through for even cooking.

Add the Parmesan: Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven. While they are still hot, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over them and gently toss to combine. Return the pan to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is slightly golden.

Drizzle with Balsamic: Once out of the oven, drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the hot Brussels sprouts for a pop of flavor.

Garnish and Serve: Transfer the roasted Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for garnish. Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy the delicious blend of garlic and Parmesan!
