Ingredients

4 lobster tails (8-10 ounces each)

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Lobster Tails: Start by thawing the lobster tails if frozen. Use kitchen shears to cut the top shell of each lobster tail down the middle, stopping just before the tail fin. Carefully pull apart the shell to expose the meat, and gently lift it out, resting it on top of the shell.

Make the Garlic Herb Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant (be careful not to burn the garlic). Once done, remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

Preheat the Broiler: Move your oven rack to the upper position and preheat the broiler to high.

Brush the Lobster Tails: Place the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Generously brush the garlic herb butter mixture over the lobster meat, ensuring it’s well-coated.

Broil the Lobster Tails: Place the baking sheet under the broiler and cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and slightly browned. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning. You can also baste them with additional garlic herb butter halfway through for extra flavor.

Serve: Remove the lobster tails from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with extra garlic herb butter on the side and lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
