4 cod fillets (fresh or thawed)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions
 

Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

    In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

      Carefully place the cod fillets in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side without moving them until they develop a golden-brown crust.

        Gently flip the cod fillets using a spatula, and drizzle them with lemon juice. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

          While cooking, spoon the melted garlic butter over the fillets to infuse them with flavor.

            Once cooked, remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
