Ingredients

For the stuffed shells:

12 large jumbo pasta shells

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great)

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the garlic butter Alfredo sauce:

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

Instructions

Preheat and Prepare Shells: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside on a baking sheet, gently separated to prevent sticking.

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the Shells: Carefully fill each cooked pasta shell with about 2 tablespoons of the chicken and cheese mixture. Place the stuffed shells in a greased baking dish, standing them upright.

Prepare Garlic Butter Alfredo Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn.

Combine Cream and Cheese: Slowly add the heavy cream to the garlic butter, stirring continually. Bring to a gentle simmer. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt, stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Dish: Pour about half of the garlic butter Alfredo sauce over the stuffed shells in the baking dish, ensuring they are well covered. Reserve the other half for serving.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the shells are heated through and the top is slightly golden.

Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the remaining Alfredo sauce over the stuffed shells, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
