Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup warm milk (about 110°F/43°C)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the active dry yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and the activated yeast mixture.

Mix until a dough starts to form. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

After the dough has risen, punch it down gently and turn it out onto a floured surface. Shape it into a loaf.

Place the shaped loaf into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Cover it again and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes, until it puffs up.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the bread for about 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Slice and enjoy your sweet and fluffy condensed milk bread!
