1 pound (450g) fresh, ripe strawberries with stems

8 ounces (225g) high-quality dark chocolate (60-72% cacao), chopped

4 ounces (113g) white chocolate, chopped (optional, for drizzling)

1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional, for a smoother melt)

Sea salt (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare Strawberries:

    - Gently wash strawberries under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Make sure the strawberries are completely dry, as water can prevent the chocolate from sticking.

      Melt the Dark Chocolate:

        - In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and coconut oil (if using).

          - Microwave in short bursts of 30 seconds, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.
