Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg (for egg wash)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Roll Out the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and layout the triangles on a clean surface or on the prepared baking sheet.

Form the Danish: Pinch the seams of the crescent dough triangles together to form a solid base. Then, take each triangle, and with your fingers, create a small indentation in the center.

Fill with Cream Cheese Mixture: Spoon a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture into the indentation of each triangle.

Egg Wash: Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the edges of the dough with the egg wash to ensure a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown.

Cool & Serve: Once out of the oven, let the Danish cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.
