Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup dulce de leche (store-bought or homemade)

½ cup chocolate chips (optional for extra decadence)

Sea salt flakes (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.

Melt the butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.

Mix wet ingredients: Allow the butter-sugar mixture to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

Combine all ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. If you’re adding chocolate chips, fold them into the batter now.

Layer with dulce de leche: Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out. Drizzle half of the dulce de leche over the batter, then use a knife or toothpick to swirl it gently. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top, then drizzle the rest of the dulce de leche and swirl again.

Bake the brownies: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (don't overbake).

Cool and garnish: Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle sea salt flakes on top for a delightful contrast.

Serve: Cut into squares and enjoy these luscious, fudgy brownies warm or at room temperature. Perfect for a decadent dessert or a special occasion!
