1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts)

1/2 cup dried fruit (such as cranberries or cherries)

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare Chickpeas: Pat the chickpeas dry with a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture. This step helps them crisp up better when roasted.

      Season Chickpeas: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, sea salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Toss until the chickpeas are evenly coated with the seasoning.

        Roasting: Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, shaking the pan every 10 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy.
