Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 packet of ranch dressing mix

1 packet of brown gravy mix

1 cup of low-sodium chicken broth

1 cup of sliced mushrooms (optional)

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves of garlic, minced

1 teaspoon of dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Place them at the bottom of the crockpot.

Mix the Gravy Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix, brown gravy mix, chicken broth, and dried thyme. Whisk until smooth.

Layer the Vegetables: Scatter the sliced onions, garlic, and mushrooms over the chicken in the crockpot.

Add the Gravy: Pour the prepared gravy mixture evenly over the chicken and vegetables in the crockpot.

Cooking Time: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir to combine with the gravy.

Serve: Spoon the chicken and gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
