Ingredients

1 pound fresh button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and stems trimmed

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning

½ cup breadcrumbs (for extra crispiness, use panko)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Mushrooms: If using larger mushrooms, consider slicing them in half or quarters to ensure even cooking. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.

Make the Garlic Oil: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Mix well to create a garlic-infused oil.

Coat the Mushrooms: In a large bowl, add the cleaned mushrooms. Pour the garlic oil over the mushrooms and toss until they are evenly coated.

Add Breadcrumbs: Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the coated mushrooms and toss again until the mushrooms are well coated with the crumbs. This will add that extra crunch!

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes, depending on your model.

Air Fry the Mushrooms: Place the garlic-coated mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer (avoid overcrowding; you may need to work in batches). Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. They should be golden brown and crispy.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, transfer the mushrooms to a serving dish. Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty kick.
