Ingredients

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

12 slider buns

Lettuce leaves (for topping)

Slices of tomato (for topping)

Ranch dressing (for drizzling)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the buttermilk and ranch seasoning mix. Add the chicken thighs, making sure they are fully submerged in the buttermilk mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, mix the flour, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. In another dish, add the panko breadcrumbs and shredded cheddar cheese, mixing them well.

Coat the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture first, then dip back into the buttermilk, and finally coat with the panko-cheddar mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating sticks.

Bake the Chicken: Place the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray to help achieve crispiness. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

Assemble the Sliders: Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven. Slice the slider buns in half and lightly toast them if desired. Place a piece of crispy chicken on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and a drizzle of ranch dressing. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter. These can be served warm or at room temperature. Enjoy your Crispy Cheddar Ranch Chicken Sliders with extra ranch dressing on the side for dipping!
