6 corn tortillas
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Cooking spray
Preheat your air fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat for about 5 minutes.
Prepare the tortillas: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, and sea salt. Whisk well.
Coat the tortillas: Using a pastry brush, lightly coat one side of each tortilla with the prepared oil mixture. Ensure an even layer for maximum crispiness.
Shape the tortillas: Gently fold each tortilla in half to form a taco shell shape. If necessary, you can use a taco rack or crumple up some aluminum foil to hold them in place during cooking.
Air fry the shells: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the folded tortillas in the basket, ensuring they don’t touch each other for even crisping. You may need to do this in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
Cook until crispy: Air fry the taco shells at 375°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Cool slightly: Once cooked, remove the taco shells from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack for a couple of minutes to maintain their crispiness.
Serve: Fill the crispy taco shells with your favorite ingredients such as seasoned meat, beans, cheese, pico de gallo, avocado, and fresh cilantro. Serve immediately and enjoy!
