2 cans (14 oz each) of crushed tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

Sauté: In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped basil, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

    Combine: Pour in the crushed tomatoes, stirring to mix with the basil and allowing it to heat through for approximately 5 minutes.

      Creamy Goodness: Reduce the heat to low and slowly stir in the heavy cream until fully combined and the soup turns a lovely pink color; continue to heat for an additional 5-7 minutes, without boiling.
