8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lemon

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and butter. Once melted and hot, add the shrimp in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
