Ingredients

1 lb potato gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 cup baby spinach (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Gnocchi: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions, usually about 2-3 minutes or until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add Cream: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for about 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Mix in Cheese: Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Taste and season with salt and black pepper as needed.

Combine Gnocchi: Carefully fold the cooked gnocchi into the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. If using, add the baby spinach now and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until wilted.

Serve: Once everything is well combined and heated through, remove from heat. Plate the gnocchi and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
