Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 tablespoon lime zest

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated. Let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) while the salmon is marinating.

Sear the Salmon: In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, remove the salmon from the marinade (reserving the marinade for later) and place the fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy.

Glaze and Bake: Turn the salmon fillets over and brush them generously with the reserved marinade. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches your desired doneness.

Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges for an extra burst of flavor.
